Driving Test Cancellations UK (“the extension”) helps you watch your own UK driving test booking session for earlier appointments.

What we collect

The extension collects no personal data: no licence numbers, no booking references, no browsing history, no page content from the booking service. It never sees or handles your login details — you log in to the government booking service yourself, in your own browser session.

• Your filter settings and watcher state are stored only on your own computer, in your browser’s local extension storage
• There is no account, no server, and no advertising of any kind

Anonymous diagnostics (opt-out at any time)

To find and fix problems quickly, the extension can send anonymous, minimal diagnostics to the developer. By default this is on; you can turn it off in the extension popup (“Share diagnostics”), and nothing is sent when it is off.

What a diagnostics event contains:

• The type of event (for example: “unrecognised page”, “human check seen”, “slot held”)
• The internal page-step identifier and the generic page title of the booking service (the same labels for every user)
• Which known building blocks the page contains (counts of results rows, slot pickers, buttons) so problems can be reproduced
• A random identifier created on your device (not linked to any account or person — it only separates anonymous event streams from each other)
• Your browser’s major version number and the extension version
• A timestamp

What it never contains: URLs, page text or HTML, test centre names, dates or times of your booking, licence numbers, booking references, or any account details.

How it works

The extension operates inside the tab where you are already logged in to the UK government driving test booking service. It re-checks the results page you have open, and when a slot matching your filters appears, it navigates to it and holds it. It never confirms a booking — you always review and confirm yourself.

Data sharing

Your filters, settings and watcher state never leave your browser. The only data that can leave your browser is the anonymous diagnostics described above (and only while you have not switched them off). Diagnostics data is not sold, is not shared with advertisers, and is not used for tracking.

Third-party services

If you purchase the optional premium upgrade, payment is processed by Stripe via ExtensionPay. We never receive your payment details. Premium status is checked against the payment provider when the extension starts.

Changes

Any change to this policy will be published at this URL and reflected in the extension’s store listing before release.
